Expert in the use of custom stains, he created a black floor in Sharon Stone’s screening room using dyes and lacquer; matched new wood to an existing floor in Madonna’s house by mixing a dark brown dye with subtle red highlights; and in the historic Pasadena Library, he applied tinted wax to newly installed cork in order to mimic the rich patina of the old, existing flooring.
