Red Oak

Maple heartwood is creamy white to light reddish brown while the sapwood is pale to creamy white.

It displays a closed, subdued grain, with medium figuring and uniform grain texture. Maple is dense, strong, and medium in hardness.

Because of its light color, it works well with contemporary architecture.
