Baseboards

Anchor your rooms with wide baseboards milled to enhance your custom woodwork. Baseboards provide an interesting frame for your area rugs and delineate space. They can be paint grade, or, they can be stained to match the other woodwork in your home.

Display your glassware and fine china in cabinets built specifically for the task. Show your favorite pieces to the greatest advantage, as well as keep them dust free and out of harm’s way.

Chair & Plate Rails & Applied Panels

Your grandmother’s lovely china needn’t be hidden away, only to be revealed on special occasions.  You can make every day more festive by perching these symbols of holidays past on your dining room’s plate rail.

Applied panels embellish a room, giving it a feeling of timelessness and permanence.

Door and Window Casings

Frame the view to your garden with decorative window casings.  They can be milled in a decorative pattern, and embellished with applied custom motifs. There are many styles from which to choose which will compliment the architecture of your home.

Simple openings between rooms become graceful transitions when framed in real wood moldings.

Fireplace Mantels & Surrounds

The installation of a decorative fireplace surround and mantel gives the grandest of rooms an inviting focal point, expressing warmth, hospitality and gracious living.  

Storage Cabinets

No house was ever built that had enough storage space! Historic houses are especially short on this precious feature, but cabinets can be cleverly added for both convenience, and appeal.  This one, built in a newly created bathroom, was designed to mimic the cabinet in an existing bath.

Screen Doors

Let the cool breeze in and keep those bugs out! Of course, screen doors make wonderful windows to the great outdoors for our small, furry friends who are confined for their own safety.

We used brass screen in this one, which mellowed to a soft patina over time.

Wood Window Screens

Remember the days before schools were air conditioned, when the bottom windows were opened in the morning to let in the cool outside air? In the afternoon, the top windows would be pulled down to let the warm air that had risen to the high ceiling, waft away.

Today, window screens provide a connection with nature, while protecting you from pests. Add a ceiling fan for green cooling at its Southern best!

Staircases are an impressive focal point of architecture. The soaring treads, flanked by the smooth flow of the balustrade, form a strong element of your home’s interior, linking public and private spaces.

Do not neglect your ceiling as an important architectural element. Box beams add dimension and interest and serve as a frame for your lighting fixtures.

Add wood touches in unexpected places. Here, we installed a small strip of wood to the walls of the soaring entry of this contemporary Mediterranean Villa. Its dark richness forms a lovely counterpoint to the white columned walls.
